The viral lofi pop hit, “If You Wanna” by The TVC, released on Ildefonso Records, reached 1 million streams today. This mid-tempo rnb fused track was written by Spencer Riley Alfonso (Producer, Artist), Amir Girgis (Writer, Singer) and Connor Foley (Musician, Singer). The trio of artists caught up at Ildefonso, Inc.’s HQ in Downtown Los Angeles to recall the events of recording The TVC’s biggest song to date.
The production and recording process was captured in a warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles in the Skidrow District. Using midi instruments, an SM7, any odds and ends the group could find laying around, “If You Wanna” is a home-made bona-fide hit.
The success of the song is in large part due to the Spotify algorithm placing this track into listeners’ Discover Weekly, and Release Radar. After the success of “Feels Like Home” being featured on the hit tv show: This is Us, other songs by The TVC began taking off. “If You Wanna” is the first song by The TVC to crack the 1 million mark on the streaming services platform.
