New Release

The newest single by Monako Davis is here. “Easier (feat. Saint Evaleen)” is a west coast, breezy track with a driving beat and disco guitars. Alone on a summer’s day in your house with nothing to do? This track is perfect for pouring some tequila with lime, slow dancing to your mirror, and allowing yourself to feel all the feels.

Recorded in Downtown Los Angeles, Davis’ new track reunites her with frequent indie-pop, singer-songwriter, Saint Evaleen (Mary Ives). Together, alongside producer/writer Spencer Riley Alfonso, Saint and Monako wrote their melodies and lyrics via multiple Zoom sessions. Now you can stream Davis’ summer single, as it recalls the effortless energy of The Pretenders, Blondie, and Fleetwood Mac.

Blending her love of new wave, Laurel Canyon folk-pop, and a touch of LA and New York’s tougher garage sounds, Monako Davis’ signature has become more and more evident as time passes, and this single is no exception.

Add this track to your favorite playlists, and share them with Ildefonso Records.
