New Release
Elijah Wellz (aka Elijah Munck) dropped his debut album, “Growing Up”. Wellz wears his heart on his sleeve in this nine song album, drawing from his personal experiences of growing up. These are some insights from the artist/produce about two of his featured tracks, “Pain” and “Wish You Were Here”.
““Pain” is one of those songs that hurts to write. It deals with the feeling of losing yourself because you’ve lost someone else whether that be through a breakup or a death of a loved one. When I wrote this I was going through both, and through trying to juggle that emotional weight, came this song. But, I wanted to give myself hope at the end. That’s where that last chorus comes in.” - Elijah Wellz
““Wish You Were Here” is a song about missing someone you feel you shouldn’t miss. It’s about trying to forget about the good times so that you can finally move on but you can’t seem to do that. The chorus has to two contradictory lyrics “Where did the time go that we were in love? This infatuation just wasn’t enough” I wrote it this way to express the confusion you can feel while experiencing a breakup. But, all in all you just want to be with the person again despite the hurt and pain.” - Elijah Wellz
