sara (sah-ra) is a singer-songwriter originally from Brazil, now based in Los Angeles. Her passion for singing and writing began organically at a very early age, and was intensified during her transition from Brazil to America. At 13, sara began teaching herself piano and turning to her gift of writing as an outlet and form of self-expression. sara later joined the worship team at her church. Over quarantine, she turned her full focus into her songwriting. She began exploring music production, producing and recording demos in her bedroom. As a way to manage all of her complicated feelings, sara writes songs, bringing them into the studio for full production. “I make music so I can heal. I share it to hopefully help someone else heal.” - sara freitas
